Please join the Wisconsin Tibetan Association, the Regional Tibetan Youth Congress-Wisconsin and Students for a Free Tibet UW-Chapter for prayers February 8, 2012, 5:00 p.m. at Deer Park Center.  Due to the on-going tragedies in Tibet and the Chinese Government's extremely brutal response, the Kalon Tripa Dr Lobsang Sangye has called for a world wide global vigil on Wednesday, February 8, 2012.  We are jointly requesting all Tibetans and Tibet supporters to join us to show our support and solidarity with our Tibetan brothers and sisters in Tibet.  
Please note that WTA program at the Eagle Heights on February 25, 2012 is cancelled.

WTA Fundraising Committee will present a 'tamchoe'(a play depicting an episode of Chinese brutality on Tibetan people)at the Middleton Performing Arts Center, Middleton High School, 2100 Bristol Street Middleton, WI 53562. Please come join us and show your support and appreciation for the hard work done by our own community members.

 
MEMBERSHIP FEE AND WTA MEMBERSHIP CARDS
WTA members age 21 and above are requested to pay an annual membership fee of $10.00 as per WTA Administrative Rule No. 7.  Tashi Bhuti.la is in charge of the membership fee and cards, membership fees can also be paid it to Molam.la while paying Dhanglang Chatrel.  Membership card photos will be taken during the Losar dinner at the Eagle Heights Community Center, Saturday, February 25, 2012.

The 2012 Midwest Picnic and Competitions will be hosted by the Wisconsin Tibetan Association during His Holiness the Dalai Lama's 77th Birthday Celebration July 6 – 8, 2012.  There will be basketball and soccer tournaments for both boys and girls.  There will also be soccer for the younger ages, traditional and contemporary cultural shows performed by the different weekend Tibetan School children, plus other well-known Tibetan artists, various cultural programs in other languages, a talent show, etc.
